Respect for Others

Be mindful of players around you and keep noise to a minimum while others are playing.

Always stand still and out of a player’s line of sight during a stroke.

Mobile phones should be on silent while on the course.
Safety First

Ensure the group ahead is well out of range before playing a shot.

Call "Fore!" immediately if a ball may endanger another player.

Do not practice swing near others or where you may cause damage.
Pace of Play
Maintaining good pace is a shared responsibility.

Keep up with the group in front, not just ahead of the group behind.
-
Be ready to play when it is your turn.
-
Limit practice swings.
-
Play ready golf where safe & appropriate.
-
If you fall behind and cannot regain position, invite faster groups to play through.
Group Sizes
-
During busy periods, social groups should be limited to a maximum of 4 players unless otherwise advised.

Larger groups may be asked to separate to avoid delays.
Care of the Course
Every player is responsible for protecting the course.
Fairways & Tees
-
Replace or repair all divots.
-
Avoid unnecessary damage during practice swings.
Greens
-
Repair all pitch marks properly.
-
Do not lean on putters or bags while on the green.
-
Remove flagsticks carefully and avoid damaging the hole.
Bunkers
-
Enter & exit the bunker at the lowest point.
-
Rake bunker after use & leave them smooth.
Competition Golf Etiquette

Arrive early & be prepared to start at your allocated tee time.

Follow all Conditions of Play & Local Rules in force on the day.

Record scores accurately and in accordance with competition requirements.

Assist fellow competitors by helping look for balls when appropriate.

Respect the role of match officials and volunteers.
Social Golf Etiquette
Social golf is welcome & encouraged, but courtesy to others is essential.

Be aware of competition times & priority of play.

Allow competition groups to play through when required.
-
Avoid excessive delays, particularly on weekends & peak times.

Familiarise yourself with basic rules & local practices before playing.
Courtesy to Volunteers & Staff

Follow instructions from course volunteers at all times.

Temporary restrictions or course maintenance works are in place for the benefit of the course & members.

Treat all volunteers with respect.
