Stage 1 Reflection by KC

1995
It soon became apparent that the supply of water from the dam would not be enough and we would need a back up supply. An old pipeline, which was used by the old milk factory to carry water pumped from the river, was located, this line ran the length of William Street and, after repairing several leakes and extending it to the golf course, water could be pumped from the river to help maintain the storage level in the dam during dry periods.
A small house was offered for sale to the golf club on the condition it be moved from the railway land on which it was situated. The club did not have the money to make the purchase, at the time, but the benefactor took it upon himself to buy the house and donated it to the golf club. The house was transported to the course to become the nucleus of a clubhouse.
